{SOOC Sunday} Temple Square

This weekend, the husband took me on a much needed getaway to Salt Lake City.

We shopped til we dropped.
(Ikea, Cabelas, Tai Pan, Golf Galaxy)

We ate at our favorite restaurant.
 (PF Changs)

We walked around Temple Square.

I hadn't been there during the holidays since I was a little girl.
I'm pretty sure it was the highlight of my whole weekend.

It was freezing cold, snowing, completely packed, and absolutely beautiful.

I think it needs to become a yearly tradition!

(Inside the Joseph Smith Building)

(The Tabernacle, all set up for the Christmas Devotional on Sunday)

All pictures are straight out of the camera!
Happy Holidays!

"W" is for Waterfall

Shoshone Falls is a waterfall on the Snake River located approximately five miles east of Twin Falls, Idaho. Sometimes called the "Niagara of the West", Shoshone Falls is 212 feet high - 45 feet higher than Niagara Falls.

On a high water year like this one has been, the falls are barely visible through the mist.

I think I like them better on normal years. Much prettier. Less scary. And it doesn't wreak such havoc with my hair or get water droplets on my camera lens.

Have you ever been here?

Sleepless in Heber...

This weekend... I chewed on baby toes. They were delicious, too.

This weekend... I saw deer outside my window.

This weekend... I experienced gorgeous views, great conversations, and outlet mall shopping. All in the company of 20+ of my very best friends!
One or two who may need to see a doctor about this....
I ate too much.

I laughed until I cried.

Marlee's "edible" foot cream tastes like mentholatum.

Playing Phase 10 makes me obnoxious (and all this time I blamed the inlaws).

Shayla talks in her sleep.

Denise will fight you to the death in a wild game of spoons.

So will Kailey.

Page will still continue to accuse you of being mafia even though you are a dead citizen.

The deli worker Heidi made cry last year moved on to become a waitress at the Snake Creek grill. She didn't make her cry this time, however, she paid her back by giving us the worst service ever and since they automatically add in that 20% tip.... Thanks Heidi... sheesh!

There's nothing quite as calming as watching the weather channel at 3 a.m. for Hurricane Ike updates. Melanie, Tamara's family (Tamara was with us), Kelly, and Nic... I'm so glad to hear you are all okay!

I did not sleep.

Much.

Thanks Victoria, for all your hard work.

Thanks Alisa for the cute t-shirts!

Thanks Shayla for the beads.

Thanks Dana for the jewelry to drool over.

Thanks Heidi, Crysty, and Page for letting me snuggle with your babies.

Thanks everybody for spending your weekend with me!!!

I can't wait until next year.
