Last week, the awesome husband took me to Granite Hot Springs. I took pictures for my
photowalk. And couldn't find the cord to the camera so I had to buy a new one in the next town over because our local Radio Shack closed sometime when I didn't notice, so the pictures didn't make it into this weeks photowalk. Thus... here's some pictures of this cute cute little swimming hole...

This is the pool drain... the hot water runs out of the mountain on the back, into the pool, and then out this little drain and back into the river.

That lovely little dark patch in the water is the slicker than snot algae growing in the bottom where the hot springs water runs through. Kind of nasty to think about, isn't it?

The other day, I was cleaning out drawers in the bedroom and found these cute little letters the Ish left on our pillows last year. They made me laugh so hard, I had to share them again.

For family home evening this week, we took a walk around the temple grounds and visited the visitors center. Try as I might, I couldn't get a picture of all three of the awesome kids where the girl wasn't playing with her braces. It's not like she just got them yesterday or anything. Sheesh! (not kidding, she's had them three months and plays with them like she got them yesterday)

It's .... girls camp time! And guess what? I don't have to go! Or, rather, I don't GET to go. Awww... The young women all made their own pillow cases and when I went to pick up the girl from mutual, the leaders told me how awesomely creative she is because of what she came up with for her pillow case. That is why we are the awesome family...

A smell started eminating from the girls bedroom. Now in my defense, I have been working since last September and their bedroom had been the last thing on my list of priorities. They would clean it up every week, and little did I realize that everything was just being shoved under the bed and in the closet, on the shelves, you name it. I laid down the law today and said "you WILL find the source of this smell." Okay, I didn't, but their dad must of, because when I got out of the shower this morning, they proudly announced that their awesome brother had already disposed of the dead mouse from under the bed and they were finding what else was under there. I would have taken more photos, but they threatened to have me beheaded if I came anywhere near their room with a camera again.

The other day, on one of our only decent days we've had for weeks, the kids were bored, so I put them to work. The boy moved all this brick and I laid it out while the girls... I don't know... watched? Played? Fought (more than likely)? Funny how as soon as he could catch a break, the boy announced he was going to work early so he could practice his golf game for awhile. First time he's done that in awhile. He was a huge help. The awesome husband was out of town... or he would have helped, too... but don't worry, I saved all the hard work for him.

More flowers are being chewed on... I'm this close to calling those rodents under the porch a dirty name! I found three mice the other day and didn't even scream. Not even once. Of course, they were outside instead of under the bed, but still... go me!

Despite the crummy weather, the lilacs managed to make it into full bloom this year and they are beautiful! It's not every year we get to enjoy their wonderful scent. I need to transplant this tree in the girls bedroom for the next couple of days. Any tips for getting the smell of dead mice out of ones bedroom appreciated, so says the Ish.

And that was just THIS week...

Holy BUSY, woman!!
And really? There was a dead mouse under your girls' bed and they didn't go running for the hills? Wowza.
LOVE the shot of the three kids. Love.
It's so nice to see that there is a room that looks worse than my scarey room. At least I don't harbor dead mice.
You're going to be VERY tired by the end of the summer, if you keep up this pace :)
Where is Granite Hot Springs? I've never been to a hot springs of any kind :(
wow... the marathon reading is worth it.
lovely letters you daughter wrote :D
What a cool pool!! And those letters from your daughter are precious!!
Love the lilacs! The hot springs is cool cept for the alge.
I hate hunting for the smell. I don't understand why no one will do it until they are threatened with their lives.
And it's nice to see a bedroom that looks like my kids' bedrooms. I guess that's why they have doors.
