Project #3

Today's project is simple... simply because I am having one of those days. I have this seven year old, who is being SO obstinate, SO uncooperative, and SO ornery, she is determined to drive her mother to drink!

And... as a result... it has made this day so believable unbearable, that all I want to do is crawl into my bed and cry.

But, I can't. I have too many things to do! And I don't want to do any of them!

I did however complete a project for today, so maybe if I hold my cards just right, I can still crawl into my bed, and maybe take a nap instead of cry.

Wish me luck on that!

Now on to today's project... it's a project for YOU!!!

I need your help. I have added a few more things to my kids bathroom. A basket for stray rolls of toilet paper since they never make it to the holder, and usually end up on the floor, and that super cute metal wall hanging. The stars have magnets on the back, which means that they'll be lost in the first week! Woohoo! I'm so excited. But it was just too cute to pass up!
I also found these super cute hooks at my local five and dime. That is one of those stores I love to cruise the aisles of regularly because you never know what you are going to find! The hooks are very antique and rustic looking... fit right in with my bathroom, don't ya think?

Finally! After almost 10 years of living in this house, my kids have HOOKS to hang towels on! Hopefully I can soon break them of the habit of dumping them on the floor. Wish me luck on that one, too.
Now my dilemma is this shelf... the overall theme of the room is old world golf/americana. Red white and blue, but mostly red. I need something for that shelf and I don't know what! I tried out scouter boys Tiger Woods bobble head doll and it just didn't do it for me. Not to mention he would take it back as soon as he noticed it so it would be pointless anyway.

What should I decorate my shelf with? HUH? Any good ideas for me????

How about a red starry sign that says something like "FLUSH IT OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF A MUDDY SWIRLY" or - maybe I'm thinking of my kids bathrooms?

Hey I have a basket for stray TP in both my bathrooms. I have loved it! I hope it helps!

Wow, you've been busy. I feel like a slacker now! I don't even own a paintbrush!

I love the bathroom accesories! Where did you find that star picture?

As for the shelf, I'd get a red star and lean it against the wall maybe or a red golf club or red baskets.

I'd probably leave it blank for awhile until I found just the right thing. If you go to Gordman's (not sure if you have them there) they have little things like that you could put on the shelf.

Very impressive, you really are on a roll. Love the magnet star thing. I'd also love to have a hint of a clue about anything decoraty, then I could give advice on things like shelves. Instead I'll just admire.

I like the star idea, but that's just piggy-backing on Kari because I'm decor-impaired. I like how it looks, though!
