Project #2

I hesitate to post these photo's for two reasons...
1. The before shot, I cannot find.
2. The room is not totally finished!

Let me describe the before shot... white vinyl wall covering with blue and red stripes. No shower curtain other than a cheap white one, with a mixture of blue artwork here and there on the wall.

Still to do includes: hang up the towel hooks and toilet paper roll (which I need to purchase first), buy new rugs, replace the light and faucet and door and hardware and floor, and find some golf related artwork to finish off the room.
I painted the wall with "Taupe" paint (that's really the name) then sponged on the khaki color from the island yesterday, as well as a sage green here and there. I hadn't planned on sponging anything on there, but due to some wall flaws that could only be repaired by tearing the wall out, I decided to give it a try and see if that helped to hide them. It did!

I did discover something interesting... there was a plastic film over the brass on the light... so I peeled it off and voila... I have a brand new light! Even though it's brass and doesn't match!
Stay tuned tomorrow for yet another project... that does not involve paint in any way, shape, or form, as I am so very tired of paint!

Looks very impressive!! And I think you have a good idea for the toliet paper holder. My kids are lazy like that too, so I end up putting the roll on the TP in all the bathrooms in the house!

Wow, it looks great! My walls look sponge-painted, too. Sorta. Well okay, they look dripped on and stained, but it's the same effect, no?
