There's a warning sign along the highway that reads "Wildlife in roadway next 15 miles". For good reason. A large herd of elk have wandered down from the foothills and taken up residence just up the road a bit, grazing upon whatever they can find to eat, such as random haystacks. I'm sure the farmers find them annoying, but I think they are beautiful and would be welcome in my yard anytime. Just don't eat our haystack.

Poor Toby got herself "fixed" a few weeks ago. Her stitches had to come out and since I've had it up to here with her and vet bills, we decided to take care of it ourselves. Only problem was, we couldn't figure out how to get her to hold still long enough to do it. She may be just an itty-bitty thing, but she wasn't about to let us hold her down for any reason. So I gave her a ball of wadded up paper, which she happily proceeded to tear into a million little pieces for the next ten minutes, barely noticing what was going on in her nether-regions. Great idea! We got her stitches out just fine, now we just need to figure out how to train her to clean up after herself when she does this.

ABC Wednesday".

ABC W always manages to bring beautiful photography to the fore! Yours is no different. very beautiful.!!
Terrific G post!
We have another week before we take out the stitches. We will probably take her in. If only pet care could be a deduction I would get millions back from the government. We are keeping the Vet well fed.
Oooops! I got distracted like Roger.....well, he started it!
Cute kitty!
