Things I've learned recently:

Full ride scholarships may pay for tuition, but....  

Books are expensive.

Housing is expensive.

Meal plans are expensive.

Graphing calculators are expensive.

Sending a kid to college is DANG expensive.

However, 

Hearing their voice on the phone is priceless.

Having them come home for a visit is priceless. 

Hugs... are priceless.  

Homesickness will probably come, but for now, he's seriously having the time of his life.  We miss you tons, bud, but we're so happy for you.
