My life in a nutshell...

1. We're trying our hand at fish again. We've been cycling for two months now with a goldfish that has doubled in size. The goldfish managed to eat all but one of our shrimp, and lest we lose microscopic Marvin one of these days, we decided to move it to the old tank and try out some Molly's again. It's been a whole ten minutes and their not dead yet, so our luck is improving. May they live long and prosper.

2. Still haven't heard anything about my camera. My husband decided he wanted a camera of his own to stick in his golf bag, so he decided to buy one. It's not a fancy one, just a pocket Sony Cybershot. The good thing is that I didn't have to relearn how to do anything as the display functions are just like it's fancy big brother. The bad thing is that the pictures still don't compare to what I get out of it's fancy big brother. However, for $60 off the original price, we couldn't pass it up.

3. The snow is SLOWLY melting, we have a few patches of grass here and there. It has revealed some fantastical mice holes under the grass. My mother in law asked why the local owls seemed to like our yard so much... well, DUH... it's like Christmas out there. My irises and lilies are up a few inches already. I can't see and won't see probably for a few more weeks if I have any tulips and daffodils, though, as they are still covered with a good foot of snow.

4. Tomorrow is Easter and thank goodness for 1:00 church... it's forcing us to only spend 2-3 hours with the in laws instead of the five or six they were hoping for. Grandma and Grandpa are coming for a visit. Grandma's been sick so she won't run out of things to talk about for a good LONG time. At least it wasn't her hemorrhoids this time. After dinner, the mother in law thinks we're still having an Easter egg hunt, though it will be tricky with the snow and mud and all around general yuckiness. Maybe they can have it in the new house? HA! At least I have a camera to photograph the happy events!

5. We signed up for HBO for a few months, just so my husband could watch the John Adams mini-series. I brought home the book on CD for him a few weeks ago and he liked it so much, he listened to it twice. He couldn't wait to see the mini-series, but has been disappointed to see that Hollywood has changed history a bit here and there. I've never seen him so distraught. I finally had to ban him from speaking as I was tired of hearing "this didn't happen this way" and "did these writers do any research?" So if you watch it... be forewarned. I am, however, enjoying it ... except for that one scene I had to hide my eyes at!

Wow, who knew John Adams could be so interesting and so shocking at the same time? I'm assuming there was something shocking, anyway, if you had to hide your eyes.

Yay for 1 pm church! Nobody needs to hear about granny's roids, especially not on Easter. Bleh.

Happy Easter, Kris!! I'm glad you have some sort of camera while its fancy big brother is in the ICU still.

How was the egg hunt? Sorry about the distraught husband! :)

I'm so glad you got a temporary camera! And I like sony, too. I have the cybershot, and I used to have a bigger one....what is the model that is in the ICU? I doubt I've ever had THAT nice of one, but I do love that once you learn the ins and outs of sony it's all the same.

Glad you had 1:00 church! ;o)
