Yeah.
I understand.
Do you pin lots of stuff and never try them?
Yeah.
Me, too.
Well, I'm trying to remedy that.
And here's some of the stuff I've tried lately.
Olive Garden they were not. That could have been operator error as I didn't exactly spend much time on them. Plus, it seemed all the garlic butter strayed to one end, making that end impossible to eat and the other end kind of blah.
Will I try it again? Sure.
I didn't make this one. But I tasted it when my friend brought it to work and it was SO GOOD! I can't wait to make it myself.
Mini Pumpkin Pie Croissants
While mine didn't turn out as beautiful as the ones in the picture (I used pumpkin from one I had roasted out of my garden and pureed and it was too runny, and the filling all ran out of the croissants), BUT, they were DELICIOUS!
2 tubes cresent rolls (open and split lengthwise to make more cresents) Beat until fluffy: 4 oz cr. cheese, 1 can pumpkin (not pie filling), 2 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice, 3-4 Tbsp. sugar. Place 2 tsp spoonful of mixed ingredients on each cresent and spread. Roll cresent up.. Add the extra tsp of sugar and pumpkin spice mix, on top (sprinkle) Bake 350 degree F for 15-18 minutes (or until browned)
These were super easy to make and I thought they tasted better a few days later than they did the first day. Even my husband liked them. And he is picky!
Doodle Art
Most of my students at school LOVE to color. Some of them just scribble on their pages, but others really take their time. I've started hanging their artwork on the wall of my office (because the hall outside my room is taken up by "I will not do drugs" pledges... sheesh... priorities people!) and the kids love seeing their artwork hanging up and comparing theirs to everyone elses (which is always interesting considering it's kindergarten through 5th grade - we get all kinds of work). ANYWAY... I found these doodle art pages on Pinterest and not only can I access the site from work (woohoo - our IT guys block all the cool websites), but the kids LOVE the detail, AND unlike most coloring pages, it can take up a whole half hour or more to finish the page. So they color while we do artic and language drills and I don't have to think of anything creative to entertain them at least that one day a month!
