"Y" is for Yellow...

The yellow words on the strap of the very thing that brings you this blog to begin with...

A photographer went to a socialite party in New York. As he entered the front door, the host said, "I love your pictures, they're wonderful; you must have a fantastic camera." He said nothing until dinner was finished, then: "That was a wonderful dinner, you must have a terrific stove." Sam Haskins

This is what my Nikon D90, which I purchased one year ago this week, has brought to me in the past year.

I still can't decided if it's the camera or the photographer.

I believe it's a little of both. A good camera helps someone with a good eye...or vice versa. :))

It's having me for a sister that makes all the difference. LOL I am the lucky one to have such a talented sis.

I agree--the camera is but a tool. It's the person that sees and frames the picture. You have the gift of being able to see. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely the photographer with a great camera.
Love your shots, especially the little guy peeking around the corner of the building and the daisy with the green background. Very artsy.

You have to have the eye, but having the right equipment helps you realize your vision. I feel the same about playing the violin. A good violin does NOT make someone a good violinist, but if you have the skills, and a good instrument, magic happens. It's definitely BOTH.

I go with the photographer every time, although sometimes with a little help from Photoshop in my case!

That's an awfully good camera you've got! I want one, too. Just kidding! Awesome photos.

Great analogy! No-one praises Van Gogh's paint and brushes. It's what you do with what you've got that matters. The gift of the photographer is what separates the good photos from the outstanding.

Fabulous photos! I think that it's the photographer for the most part - but it doesn't hurt to have a great camera, too!
