"P" is for Prom...

Most places call it prom, but around here, we call it Commencement, not to be confused with the graduation procession. It's the dance preceding that momentous occasion. Neither one of these two will be walking the procession this year... they are only a sophomore and a junior, but when the super cute boy gets brave and decides to ask a super cute girl to a dance finally, why not go all out and ask her to the biggest one of the year?
They were super cute, were they not?

I'm wondering how much the dress cost? My daughter will be there next year and the girls around here spend up to 800.00 on them. Yikes!
That is a fabulous dress by the way, very classic.

technically this is called the "commencement Dance" not to be confused with prom, which was held in January which almost as fancy but not quite as this one. Every school does it different. This is just what we call it

Yes, most definitely super cute! Hmm, now I wonder if prom is short for promenade.

Commencement, prom and graduation were just not in the vocabulary of my generation finishing high school, (in the UK).
