Photostory Friday - What's on your camera?

It's always interesting to dig out the camera after a week and see what you've taken pictures of. I've been sick, slept most of last weekend, and my brain has felt fried.

One night I fell asleep so sound on the couch (thanks to Ambien and cold medicine) I had to be carried to bed.

The first thing I said the next morning was "I don't remember coming to bed".

Gee.

I wonder why.

Wednesday morning, I didn't remember going to work...

I was just suddenly there.

At least I was dressed.

Yeah, it's been one of those weeks.

So it's interesting at the end of one of those weeks to see just what I (or other people) have taken pictures of.

We may have figured out a solution to our cat peeing in the chair problem... of course this means we have a cat box in the living room which just violates every rule known to mankind, I KNOW...

Stupid cat.

We've concluded she is refusing to use the other box because of the calico pig who likes to beat her up every time she walks in the laundry room.

Who could blame her? I'd pee in the chair, too.

Although, I must admit, Toby is quite a helper around the house. She especially loves to help change the fish water. And had I been paying attention instead of snapping photos, I wouldn't have ended up with fish water all over the living room carpet.

Did I mention she LOVES water?

Especially toilet water.

Yep, you can admit, you're jealous that our cat is so much cooler than yours.

This past weekend, I told my husband we needed to go somewhere so I could take some cool pictures of something, anything.

Instead...

I slept.

So he went without me. Right out to the front porch to capture the clouds. Sometimes, that's all the further you need to go.

My sister (bless her heart) taught us how to play this nifty card game at our family reunion. My super cute husband hates card games.

A lot.

But this one... he plays.

More often that you'd ever imagine he would. It's been kinda fun...

Thanks, sister dear!

Playing games gives us time to sit around and shoot the breeze and discuss the big important issues in life, such as, whatever odd thing happens to be rolling around in the girls head at the moment, which generally makes no sense.

Do teenagers ever make sense?

Sure wish I could remember what was happening right then. Knowing us, we were having a good giggle at her expense, cuz that's just the way we do things.

She's a good sport.

Usually.

And it looks like we did hair at some point in the game.
My neighbor hired me to sew her daughter a skirt for her birthday. Only took me two months, but I finally got it done yesterday.

I think it's time to put the sewing machine away.

I'm tired of looking at it. And just because we are hard up for entertainment, we went against the check out guys suggestion at Lowes and bought TILE.

For the kitchen floor.

Isn't it purdy?

(we are doing big awesome 18" tiles, not insanely small 2" tiles, I'm not that insane!)

We're totally going to be hating ourselves in a day or two, I'm sure.

The husband said he's doing it just so I'll have something interesting to blog about.

Aw... thanks honey!

He's so sweet.

Wow! Those were a lot of photos and fun ones too! The cat reminds me of our cat. She's all black too and gets into a lot of mischief. She's a very close to be 18 years old!

It must have been one of my other sisters who taught you to play that game, (or maybe Syd) because I never played it while up there. Glad you are feeling better, I really must come get to know the new addition (and the new tile), Eventually they should learn to get along.
