Summer Vacation - Week 5

I'm doing a massive photo overload post today... to illustrate our week this week... with minimal explanations... I promise...

The awesome husband got a hammock for fathers day. After the boy put it together, we all took our turn trying it out.
And then the kids permanently took over...
The Ish spent hours trying to figure out how to draw a "red sushi golf club"... all her dad's favorites... and never could figure it out.
The girl impressed us all with her chipping skillz... and let me tell ya, she has sum skillz.
I finally put away the rest of the Christmas decorations...
The boy mowed the lawn for us and I'm pretty sure he missed half of it... but at least he didn't break any windows like his grandpa.
What kind of bird is this, anyway? They're awesome and they love our willow trees!
The girl found her camera in her pit of a bedroom (which is still not clean) and hasn't put it down since.
The husband played a mean game of frisbee with the boy. It's nice to have what feels like a summer day for a change.
The boy (or was it the girl?) discovered a nest of starlings in the engine of the truck. Needless to say, they are no more. Poor babies. *sniff*
Can you smell this? Irises are not my favorite flower, but their SMELL... oh my...
We dug the firepit out of the garage... Which ultimately turned the boy wierd...
The girl roasted perfect marshmallows...
And had s'mores on cookies...
The father in law irrigated our lawn. Just one of the perks of living in the sticks.
We also hit the range... check out my sweet little baby there carrying her own sticks... you go girl!
The Ish needs major work on her grip. She did hit one or two balls on to the range, though. But just one or two. The girl got some lessons from her awesome dad... she's going to be the pro in the family, I can smell it.
And so did the boy ... when his dad wasn't taking away his clubs. KIDDING! Really, I don't know what those two are up to. I don't ask anymore.
This is why I married him... it wasn't his good looks, his money, his fantastic job, or his sweet sports car... it was totally his golf swing.
I mostly watched. I am the queen of Shankopotomus-ville. Its embarassing. And I was cold.
We baked cookies... after I finally found the chocolate chips I'd hidden from the kids (and uh, myself)...
I also started a new sewing project - which I will get back to right after I figure out what is wrong with my stupid sewing machine! It hates me.
It's been so quiet around here. I wonder why? Perhaps it is because the girl went babysitting three times (took her sister twice) and then headed off to girls camp for three days (which could also explain why her room is still not clean).
WHEW! What a week this has been!

Oh my goodness Kris! Now I want a hammock immediately. As well as a roasted marshmallow and a chocolate chip cookie : ) And look how cute your kids are. Look at those fabulous smiles. This post was awesome as can be! The more pictures the better in my opinion!

By the time I got to the end of that post, I had forgotten it had only been one week.

That is some kind of hammock you've got going there -- looks like the definition of luxury.

Congratulations on your half mowed -- but no broken windows -- lawn!
