This was probably the most uneventful week I've had all summer. I think. Maybe. You be the judge.

Friday, my sisters twisted my arm and said if I'd come donate blood with them they'd also let me have lunch and get a pedicure with them, too. It was my first time donating and I wasn't too excited thanks to my rolly blowy veins, but hey, I'll do anything for a pedicure. So I went. And here I am... which means, I also lived. Go me! I even signed up to go again in August.

You know the garden needs weeded when the awesome husband is willing to go out on his lunch hour in his dress clothes and start doing it. Guess what we did for family home evening this week? It was painless, and somewhat pointless (thanks to the girls), but it looks better, and it was some good bonding time.

So the other day, I was taking a nap when I heard this funkitated noise outside the bedroom window. I awoke and all I could hear was my father in law mowing the lawn next door. But, I knew something wasn't right, so I told the husband I had to go outside and see if something hit the side of the house. Sure enough... I found this...

May look like a bullet hole, but it is the result of a rock hitting the window after being spit out of the giant lawn mower. My father in law is going to take care of it for us... since he was the one driving the lawn mower... and he has to fix his living room window anyway which is broken from, yep, a rock hitting it after being spit out of the giant lawn mower. That thing is evil.

The boy and I cleaned out the fridge because it was so full you had to be careful opening the door for fear something would fall out. I didn't even ask him to help, he saw me doing it and volunteered to help. I think he was just looking for things to eat. Like my secret stash of Pillsbury peanut butter cookie dough and cinnamon rolls, which are now mostly in his belly.

And that was pretty much week 4 of summer vacation. We're still not done cleaning the girls bedrom. I'm still not done with my landscaping project. The mice are still eating my flowers outside. We haven't gone anywhere exciting, except the mall. Kind of nice to have a slow, easy week... broken windows and all.

Your flower shots are fab! Who could say no to a pedi?! Ouch on the flying rocks!!
Those flowers are stunning! And the toes are quite lovely too.
Maybe you should get the rocks out of your grass before you mow it... :)
LOVE your pedicure. Good for you not only giving blood, but signing up again. (I have bad veins as well. UGH)
How awful on the "bullet hole". YIKES!
I love your flower pictures!! The broken window really stinks. :( but the butt pic made me laugh. LOL!
slow and easy is the way to be. I have great intentions and don't usually get to them so.....
