Photostory Friday - February week 2

ebruary 5 - This really requires an explanation, and I will make it brief. The other day in primary, my daughter was giving a talk and her skirt fell off. The rest of the picture is self explanatory. You'll be happy to know that she went right on giving her talk as if nothing happened. Cuz she rocks like that.  Her new theme song is  ....lookin' like a fool wiff your pants on da ground...

February 6 - My husband has been on an Asian food kick lately.  He bought a cookbook and everything.  Each weekend he makes us something new.  This weekend it was whatever this is .... dang, it was good.

February 7 - This was a fun science project:  which microwave popcorn really does pop the best?  Orville Redenbachers.  By the way, she did not win the science fair.
February 8 - My kids broke the lid on my laptop.  The husband decided to buy me a new one.  I'm spoiled like that.  Four days later, I have yet to install anything and I really hate the mouse that just refuses to calibrate.   But hey, it came with a webcam... which takes pictures almost as bad as my cellphone does...
February 9 - You'd think I'd learn after all these years with this calico pig... if you lay something on the end of the bed, there is 100% chance the cat will lay on it. Even your expensive wool coat which is always nice to notice after you get to church with it on.
February 10 - My cute nephew and his darling wife were sealed for time and all eternity this day.  The sealing was beautiful, and not just because it was the first live session in brand new beautiful sealing room, either.  Congratulations Ace and Mindy!
February 11 - Did I mention my kid decided she was going blind so we took her to the eye doctor who said her eyes were perfectly fine but one eye was just barely off from being 20/20 and we let this child talk us into buying her a pair of glasses she really didn't need just because she's always wanted some?   Yeah.  I wonder how long it will be before she loses them.  In the meantime, she really does look cute.
And thus ends yet another exciting week at our house.

She does look cute in the glasses!!

The glasses story reminded me of when I was a kid and really, really wanted glasses to wear but had perfect vision so the chances were slim. Finally I happened upon a girl in my class that had just got glasses and DID NOT want to be wearing them. I would wear her glasses almost all day in class since I wanted them and she didn't =) we figured it was a pretty fair trade.

oh man glasses!

my daughter wanted them bad too. when she was 12 she played blind..we took her to the eye Dr. and she was fine so we went to Claires and got her some fake glasses.

THEN when she was 13 a note came from school that J could not see. so we went back to the eye Dr. and sure enough she needed glasses BAD. she was devastated...the month before she got braces and now glasses, surely she was DOOMED! she was crying in the car on the ride home and finally said, "i wished myself blind, i was soooo imature when i was 12"

I LOVE the temple shot. I really need to get some night photography lessons from you and Chris.

She looks adorable in glasses...I can totally see why she decided she was blind.

It's a good thing we don't have a cat. Adding that to Evie's messes would probably kill me. :)

WTG for your daughter keeping going with her speech.

I've been wanting some Asian food and that looks delicious.

And, our cat does the same thing. Every.time!

Wow! You can tell whose daughter she is!

The primary story was one for the ages (and the picture is so...graphic!)

How did she keep going - my children would have apostatized. The best thing I ever saw in church (that's probably not the best way to state that...) was a little kid who got up to bear his testimony, and passed out in the bishop's arms instead.

That's a MUCH tastier science project than Jordan did -- hers was on which stain removers work best. Which hasn't benefitted our living room carpet one bit.

That is too funny about the skirt and how she continued on. I regret to say a similar thing happened to me. I was at church and I knew things were not quite right...my slip fell down to the ground. I had to nonchalantly reach down to the floor, remove it, put it in my purse, and do it all so the man sitting next to me would not notice! Unlike your sweet thing, I did not draw a picture of it!

Cute kids. Cute glasses. Are you Mormon? I dated a Mormon guy in college for 3 years. Where do you live? You might know some of his family. That temple is beautiful. I've only seen the one in D.C. Oh and my cats do the SAME thing. Anything on the end of the bed = fair game!

Oh my gosh! That is so cute that she always wanted glasses! I love your calico pig to pieces : ). Very sweet! I also love that your husband likes to make asian food for you! How great is that?

*Bwhahahahah* spitting my drink all over the screen

Your primary story is priceless. What a trooper to go on with the talk with no tears. Loved that.

Your week in review was fun--I didn't recognize the temple, but being new I'd guess it's in Idaho. It is very pretty. It reminds me of the new Draper Temple.
