I'm plum out of ideas as to where to go on my walks... so this week, I walked to town. Okay, I didn't WALK, I drove... but still... I would have walked. It was a teacher workday and the kids were at home discovering that "Band Hero" lets you create your own music. My ears were starting to bleed. I had no choice but to leave... any way I could.
So I did.
Thanks to some yucky road construction that is probably going to take the rest of my life, I took a slightly alternate route into the big "city" to see what I could find. Here's what I came across.

Eventually, I found civilization!

Civilization comes with beggars on the corner at Walmart...

And cute new handbags...

And lunch at Wingers with willing husbands.

On the way home, I decided to see what was happening on the road construction (instead of driving around it) ... where they are widening about 10 miles of this two lane highway into four lanes. Should be done a week from.... never!

And then I saw this, and regretted that decision...

While I waited...

And waited...

Stay tuned this week to see some of these all textured up....

You live in a gorgeous place! Love the country photos; IMO they don't need a thing!
love all the wintry shots--especially the barn.
