Wordful Wednesday - Cardboard Canoes

Why, yes... that is my 15 year old son sitting in a cardboard box using flip flops for paddles and being pushed along by his buddies in the middle of a lake. Why do you ask? Doesn't everyone do this?

The youth of our ward had their annual cardboard canoe race last night. Each age group made their own canoe out of anything they could find that would float - except wood - using cardboard as the "base".

Their's was by far the least impressive boat in the bunch. And as it turns out, tiny little unimpressive boats can really kick butt in a race. Of course, it helps to have three other strapping young 14 & 15 year olds helping you along.

Came from Moosh's blog, and never have seen anything like this before. I am surprised that those things can float!
