Facebook polls....

Lately, there's been a lot of facebook polls going around, I've been tagged for 3-4 different ones and it's getting OUT OF CONTROL. It's not that I mind doing them, it causes me to sit back and reflect on things in life, but it's more like I mind who reads them, which is the some odd 126 facebook friends I have, many of whom I went to high school with and most of those, I have no desire to have them know this much about me. Instead, I choose today, to inflict it upon my blogging friends, even the lurkers who I don't know who reads because at least I don't know who you are!

So here goes...

1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED? More or less... we thought I was pregnant earlier that year (on accident) and it turned out I wasn't, so after that, we started really trying. Took about 2 months.

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME? believe it or not, I WAS!

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS? We were scared to death to tell his parents! that's really all I remember.

4. WAS ABORTION AN OPTION FOR YOU? absolutely not

5. HOW OLD WERE YOU? thinking... counting... 22

6. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT? I was late, I took a test, that's all I can remember. I shoudl do this for #2, her's is much more interesting. It was called, I had the flu that just wouldn't end, I surely couldn't be pregnant, if I was, I was only 2 weeks or so, and I went to the doctor about this horrible bug and sure enough, I was pregnant.

7. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST? I'm sure it was the husband

8. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX? Nope, and we never did. I only did with my last one.

9. DUE DATE? March 12th

10. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? extreme fatigue, so much I could barely function, and worshipping the porcelain goddess every morning, other than that, not so bad (compared to my next two)

11. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE? Sleep?

12. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST? The girls at work who would tease me about breaking my water while sitting at my desk. I quit work a week early just in case.

13. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX? boy

14. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING? Nope, I wanted a boy first.

15. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY? about 25

16. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER? yep, one at work on my last day, and when he was a month old or so.

17. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW? the first one was disguised as a meeting so it was a surprise, but I knew about the second one (for family).

18. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY? just this obnoxious rash that looked like the measels, turns out it was just some sort of allergy to being pregnant. I couldn't take anything for it and I thought I was going to itch myself to death.

19. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH? EIRMC

20. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR? zero

21. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL? myself... I went in for an U/S because the doctor checked me and said, hmmm, that feels like a butt cheek, not a head. He was breech (as in butt first) and ginormous, so they decided to do a c-section right then (one day before due date, a friday afternoon, I was ready to deliver anyway). My hubby was an hour away at school so we waited for him to get home to hear the message on the answering machine about how he needed to get his sorry butt to the hospital NOW, which totally freaked him out, and as soon as he came, they whisked me off.

22. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH? the husband and my mom asked the doc if she could watch and he said sure, she stood at the window where they pass the baby right after birth. She always tells me he was born with his toes up his nose.

23. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION? c-section

24. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN? who needs meds after a c-section? I had an allergic reaction to whatever they gave me to sleep and had a rash on my face for weeks.

27. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH? 8 lbs 11 oz. He was a bruiser!

28. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN? march 11, 1994

30. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER? Boot - ha ha - or at least his grandpa thought so. That is not a name, that is a cowboy boot. So he called him Boot for a LONG time, and still does.

31. HOW OLD IS YOUR FIRST BORN TODAY? My baby is almost 15. Where does the time go?
