My oven doesn't work. My house is a freezing 58 degrees and the furnace refuses to blow anything but cold air. The water heater is acting up and needs replaced.
BUT - I have a home. I have plenty of food on my table that doesn't need to be baked. I have plenty of warm blankets to wrap up in. We're healthy. We'll be happier once we get woke up and 9am church over with today.
Despite everything going south (our appliances always die in three's - never three big ones at once - and it's been a long time since they've pulled this stunt - although the oven, furnace and water heater are the only three original things left in this house so it doesn't surprise me they all decide to bite the dust, but in the same week? That's just wrong!) So despite everything going south - I am just going to tell myself over and over, it's going to be O-Tay!!! It's just a fluke. Really.

I have one of those radiant heaters that's not currently being used. You are welcome to it.
Well Happy New Year! That sounds like a crappy start.
Oh I hope the furnace is an easy fix! Yikes!
How ironic that the appliances all die after you've decided to be Thankful this year. The universe is having a good laugh at your expense.
We just replaced our water heater and it was a good chunk of money. Add a furnace and/or oven to that, and dang! Maybe your local appliance store will give you a bulk discount!
BOY!!! That IS wrong!! I'm sorry... you sure are handling it well, though! Keep up the positive thing... so I can read your blog and be inspired!!
Happy Freaking New Year!
It sounds like it has had a bad start, but hopefully that is just the one "glitch" that has to get out of the way for the good stuff to start rolling in.
The world will all be a better, happy place on January 20th when Barack is sworn in. Just hold out until then.....
