Mormon Row...

A couple of times a year, I force the husband to take me to work with him one day when he ventures east to the (not so) great area called Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It's a beautiful area, but there is just something about that place ... I really don't like it there.

I don't like the drive, either... can you say Jackson Pass = major carsickness for me. Yeah. Nice.

It's torture for him to have to go at all, so I'm good company for him.

I decided this time that we were going to go somewhere we'd never been, so I turned to google and found a place called "Mormon Row". It's a place very common among tourist busses full of camera wielding Japanese tourists. It has to be spectacular, right?

Well... yes, and no.

Mormon Row, first off, is a dirt road out in the middle of nowhere that leads to an old barn and house. That's it. Nothing fancy about it. What makes it spectacular is the view. And I guarantee you, it's a view to die for! I'd live there in a heartbeat.
It was just too bad the Tetons were covered in a stubborn layer of clouds that just wouldn't budge. We did, however, see an antelope, a buffalo, a bald eagle, and two moose. And I took a butt-load of photos!

These pictures are gorgeous! Seriously!

I've always heard that Jackson Hole is so beautiful. Now I'm thinking it's just a Hole. Regardless, great pictures.

Way to go, making fun out of a dreaded trip! You go on, google girl!

I've never heard of Mormon Row (funny name) but wow, that's gorgeous! I do have a soft spot for Jackson, but only parts of it. It's beautiful, but it's too touristy in a lot of ways. Still, I enjoy visiting once in a while. And the pass is amazingly beautiful, but I'm not fond of driving it either. Ick.

You are lucky your hubby lets you stop and take pictures. I don't mind Jackson Hole. There are parts I like better than other parts, the best being the scenery.

Kris, you have *SUCH* an eye for good pictures! I mean - if I took a picture of an old run-down hut, my husband would probably use it for toilet paper! You could down-right FRAME those! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!

DO you know WHY it's called Mormon row? hmmm, I wonder?
