The baptism went well... she was a classic double dunker... she let go of her dad's arm and didn't bother to put her hand all the way under ... unless you ask my father in law, it was her knee. What does he know? He's old.

The party was a ... mess... I mean... success...
Three of our seven invitee's were able to make the party. Good number, it turns out! The four year old cousin next door wanted to come, but Ishee wasn't in the mood to have to re-light her candle again.
I let the middle child take over and they made foam door hangers and decorated their own treat bags as well as made a ginormous mess. One fantastic little girl said they had to clean up before moving on to the next project. I wanted to trade her in for a few of my kids, but she wouldn't go for it. The rest found cleaning up "boring" and thus... I have a mess of massive proportions.
I asked for it, I suppose.
They decorated their own cupcakes, and then I threw all the leftover frosting away after witnessing one catching one of the little girls licking off her knife and then going to the next can of frosting. I have my standards. Another little girl said she wanted to eat frosting until she threw up. I told her that was fine, just wait until you get home, okay?

She got some fabulous presents... like play makeup, and bubbles. (Isn't her hair fantastic?)
And we whacked the pinata, which broke quite early. Turns out one of those little girls has some brute force muscles! We played a little scavenger hunt game where you were to find all the items on your list out of the pinata goodies so everybody got some of the "non candy" items. One pesky little girl decided she didn't like that game, she wanted ALL the treats and no way no how was she going to share. She also wanted the broken pinata (which I told her she had to ask Ishee for and was horrified to find out Ishee wasn't sharing, nor was I going to make her). To top it all off, she wanted to call her mom and ask if she could stay all day.

I took her home first.

There is definitely a reason I don't do parties for all their birthdays.
Ishee, on the other hand, had the TIME of her life! That's what it's all about.

It seems the party was fantstic. I know what you mean though about the whole party thing. When Baylee had her "Princess Party" this year, I told her "Enjoy this. I'm not doing this again". LOL
The important part is your didn't kill anyone and ishee had a great time.
you found a cool pinata! YAY!
looks like she had a blast! she is probably already planning next years party in her head.
What a great day! Baptism and a party. That's a lot of work for the mom... you're awesome!
I love how you did her hair for getting baptized. I've got to start thinking about that.
The birthday party looks like it was a smashing success. Well done all around!
