My time seems to have pissadeared on me...
My girls registered for school this week, with Ishee getting the teacher of her choice because she likes to do things like that just to annoy her sister, and the middle child venturing into the world of middle school with lockers and several different teachers, and more adventures than we know what to do with! That's another post for another day!
We did our back to school shopping, which after I could catch my breath from all the money we spent, was accompanied by the usual fashion show... she's a snappy dresser!

Ishee found a snake and brought it to me... she seems to have forgotten, or perhaps could care less that her mother is deathly afraid of snakes... so much that I first ran outside, then back inside to lock the door until they rid themselves of the creature far far away.

Before I went to Salt Lake City for my
mothers surgery, Ishee asked her dad to take off the training wheels to her bike... finally... (click on picture to see it full size)

Her dad worked with her. I worked with her. Her brother worked with her. Her grandpa worked with her, and she just didn't get it. We all gave up. Last night, I was fixing dinner when I heard a screech like no other. I looked out the window expecting massive amounts of blood or perhaps a missing limb or two, and this is what I saw.... Ishee riding her bike up and down the driveway. She was so excited all she could do was scream! She finally caught on. All it took was some determination and a little time to herself...

Our garden is a plenty this year, giving me a bean yield that I haven't a clue what to do with.

So today, I'm canning beans...dilly beans to be exact. My mix only made enough for 12 pints, which is perfect... other than I have enough beans to do about 20 more. We've eaten beans for every meal for the past two weeks... beans, beans, the magical fruit, the more you eat the more you toot. The more you toot the better you feel. So eat beans for every meal. Anybody need some beans?

Next week: Registration for the boy, and the rip-roaring county fair. Woohoo!

pssst...those aren't the tootin' kind of beans. Mmmmmm, I LOVE green beans! Love them! Yum!
I really need to make dinner. I'm starving.
I envy your beans! The cats dug out all mine. I have one poll bean that Nate keeps hacking with the weed wacker and one bean plant that has survived the cats, but is still just a baby. I am not counting on getting any beans this year!
Denise, tell that to my husband... ha ha ha ha ha! Woowee... >waving my arms in despair<
I need your dilly bean recipe - I promised Rob I'd make him some this year, and our beans are just starting to grow!
YEAH ISHY!
TL... it's a secret family recipe... called Mrs. Somebody or another's dill pickle mix from the grocery store! It was my sisters secret... but she shared it with me the other day...
