When my sister recommended this book, I was immediately disappointed to find out that it wasn't available in my public library.... surprise, surprise! However, they had an extra copy at the local high school where she works, so she brought one home for me to read.

This is the story of a boy named Bruno whose life is forever changed after he and his family move to a remote new home, and he strikes up a friendship with the only boy who appears to be around (copied from imdb.com). With a heartbreaking and almost disturbing ending that will leave you stunned, it's an easy read (I read it in a day). Afterall, it's a story told through the eyes of a nine year old boy.
