{365} June 13 - June 24

I was inspired to do a theme.
Reflections.
This came to me about a month ago when I was watching my
father in law flood irrigate the yard, seeing the reflection of the
trees in the water.  It was a beautiful sight.
I couldn't wait to have time to do a whole theme around it.
Now if I could just convince the ditch masters to give us enough
water so that he could flood irrigate the yard again.

June 13
Skin and bones.
That's what this little girl is made of.
June 14
Did you know if you angle the mirror just right and point the remote
into it, you can take a near perfect self portrait?
June 15
I tried to get my father in laws horses to cooperate with my mirror.
Unfortunately, they were more interested in sniffing my camera.
June 16
Homemade bubble soap.
Homemade bubble wand.
A cooperative assistant.
A near perfect reflection.
June 17
Happy Fathers Day
My kids call him dad.
I call him amazing.
June 18
Because some days, one of me just isn't enough.
So hard to capture with 30 mph winds that kept blowing my mirror over.
June 19
Peonies.
I remember as a kid, wishing the peonies would bloom a little sooner
so we could take a bouquet of them to the cemetery with us on
Memorial Day.  I don't know that they ever did bloom in time,
I just remember wishing they would.
June 20
My husbands uncle passed away.  He lived next door to us.
We weren't particularly close to him,
and his death was a blessing as he had been very ill for a very long time.
And when his wife, who we adore, asked me to play the piano at his funeral,
I was honored.
Nervous.  But honored.
June 21
The regularly scheduled reflection photo in progress was interrupted by the appearance of
my son's girlfriend and her pet turtle.   She came to torment Ashlee with it.
Ashlee has a mild turtle obsession.
Now she thinks she needs one of her own.
June 22
They call her Avril.  Avril Lavigne.
Because she's five foot nothing and MEANER than MEAN.
And wears enough mascara to stop a truck.
Remember when she went as "mascara" for Halloween
June 23
We try to take the cat out every day to play.
This week, she scared us all (well, not me, I wasn't there)
when she tried to attack the dog.
Luckily, the dog is too old to even notice we have a cat.
It wasn't all that long ago that cat would have been chewed up and
left on our front porch as a present.
June 24
We're not bothering you are we?
Cause we could try harder.
