February 20
You have not lived until you've had a conversation with my 15 year old daughter.
What's up, dog?

At school, we have this awesome treasure chest full of prizes (mostly pencils) for working hard in speech.
Unfortunately, I don't always have access to the awesome treasure chest
when it comes time to dole out the prizes.
So I decided I would keep a stash of super cool pencils in this
cute little jar in my room as a "just in case" reward.
Unfortunately, the kids don't think it's quite as awesome to pick a pencil out of the cute little jar as it is to pick a pencil out of the awesome treasure chest.

Just in case we weren't 100% sure we needed a new roof,
the wind storm we just had decided it for us.
We need a new roof.

So, Tuesday, I was right in the middle of painting the kids bathroom when the husband decides he needs to texture the walls.   I put my brush down and said, "go for it."  The towel rack from the bathroom is still laying on the dining room table, the texturing barely started, paint can collecting dust.   But I'm not complaining... the kids don't hang up their towels anyway, AND the super awesome husband had TWO job interviews this week!  Woot! Woot!

Air-bear had to build some kind of car that was self propelled.  I'm not sure what it was exactly, I hear the word science and I plug my ears and run screaming from the room.  The husband was all over it, though and they built a most fantastic car out of an iPod case, lego wheels and a rubber band.  I failed to take a picture of it.  *tear*  But, have no fear, the boy was hanging with Ish while we were out enjoying dinner with friends  at Famous Daves and they decided to build their own bigger and much better self propelled car.  He's just cool like that.

It's that time of year.
Golf balls being putted around the living room.
Golf clubs being scrubbed.
Golf shoes dusted off.
Standing at the window crying and cursing mother nature.
