"W" is for Waterfall

Shoshone Falls is a waterfall on the Snake River located approximately five miles east of Twin Falls, Idaho. Sometimes called the "Niagara of the West", Shoshone Falls is 212 feet high - 45 feet higher than Niagara Falls.

On a high water year like this one has been, the falls are barely visible through the mist.

I think I like them better on normal years. Much prettier. Less scary. And it doesn't wreak such havoc with my hair or get water droplets on my camera lens.

Have you ever been here?

Waterfalls are always soooo fascinating! For in my flat country there are no mountains and consequently no falls! But.. we have a lot of water.

The waterfall is beautiful especially with the presence of rainbows. You are right! It does look a little scary despite its beauty.

Yes, the spray on the lens is a pain, isn't it?
I can almost hear the thunderous noise of the water.
