Scavenger Hunt

The only thing more exciting than a scavenger hunt is a photo scavenger hunt! So when I came across this challenge, I knew I just had to do it!

1. Decay
My favorite place ever to go and take photos... the old abandoned house on the Moulton Homestead at Mormon Row in Jackson, Wyoming (that was a lot of spacial concepts, did I get them all right?). We try to make it over there at least once a year... meaning... it's almost time for me to go again.

2. Groups of Three
If there is one thing that is in abundance around these parts, besides rocks, it's grain silos.

3. Kitchen
Pay no attention to the thick layer of hard water (from the sprinkler system in the flower beds) or the stickers still on the windows (hey, I've only lived here 12 years, it's not time to take them off yet) for they are one of my favorite features in my kitchen.

4. Things that make you go "hmmmm"
My 14 year old is the most creative child I have ever met. I was instantly hooked on these cartoons she began drawing awhile back and told her if she ever found them again in her mess of a bedroom, I wanted to have them. I think they are awesome! So far, we're up to one. Doesn't it just make you go "hmmmm"?

5. Me time
Somehow, all the women in my ward who could play the piano were asked to sing a song for Easter. Except me. Of course, they can all sing beautifully, and I... cannot. Instead, they asked me to play the song for them. I agreed. Then they gave me the sheet music and I said "what have I gotten myself in to?" DANG! It's quite possibly the hardest song I've ever had to play in public.

Thus.... my "me time" for the next month is going to be spent learning this song.

What a fun assignment. I love being asked to play for people because it's almost the only time I force myself to learn something new on the piano. Looks like a fun, and hard, song to play:)

P.S. I don't get the cartoon! Are they sequential?
