Photostory Friday - February - Week 3

February 12 - It was time for the cultural event of the year... my daughters first drama.... also known as the 7th grade production of "The untragedy of Romeo and Juliet". Her dress was made by her fabulously talented aunt, and her dad almost willingly posed for a picture with "Lady Capulet".

February 13 - Took 28 years, but I finally got this piano tuned. Sadly, I barely notice a difference, although it does have a more melodic feel to it. My husband says he can tell a difference, though. But then, I had secretly hoped he could take this uniquely sounding piano and make it sound like the grand piano in the chapel at church. I can dream.

February 14 - Happy birthday mom. Happy Valentines day to those I love. Good luck to my nephew on his LDS mission to the Phillippines. It was a busy day... complete with the girls playing "makeover" after church. This nine year old almost looked grown up with mascara and lipstick all over her face. Almost.

February 15 - Presidents day meant no school. The boy offered to play with his sisters outside, giving me some time to myself. He's such a wonderful brother. Unfortunately, they were outside only a few minutes when the sisters ganged up on the brother, stole his boot and buried his sock in the snow. Then they had the nerve to CRY when he refused to play with them anymore and came inside.

February 16 - One of my speech kids at school had a birthday this day. She told me for her birthday she was going to give me a puppy. I was glad to find out that her dad gave them all away at Walmart on Saturday. Whew! Dodged a bullet on that one for sure!

February 17 - Time for a walk around the neighborhood... I need summer to come so I can broaden my horizons a little bit.

February 18 - We had the most beautiful sunrise I have seen in weeks! It was so foggy, you couldn't see the house across the street. Oddly enough, as I drove to work this morning, there was no fog within a half a mile of my house.

And thus ends another grand and exciting week at my house. Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to leave a hug.

That is a beautiful sunrise. We've had a few beautiful ones over here lately, but I'm waiting for a warm one! :) And I love that dress...what talent to make that!

I'm still laughing over the girls and boy - sounds like something my brother and I would have done.

A friend of ours is on a mission in Portugal, I think it must be such a life changing experience.

Every week I see sunrise shots and I think "I should really get my butt up and take one of those". I never do. Is it wrong to be jealous of yours? Because I am and I love it. :)

I love foggy sunrises.

I had my piano tuned last year, for the first time since I bought it in 1996. It sounded great for a week or so.

We clean the church once a week, and I always stop in the chapel afterward, to play the baby grand :)

I feel the same about summer getting here. I feel like I take all of my pictures in the back yard or from my car (or when I really blow it -- on the kitchen counter).
