For lack of something better to do, instead of coming home for lunch one day this week, I grabbed my camera and went for a little drive around the "block".... past the giant American flag (on my way to get a Bambino to eat along the drive)...

Across the dry bed on the west side of the little "community" I grew up in called Labelle...

Past mom's house...

The final loop is over the drybed once more, on the east end of Labelle, on my way back to school. I want to make this loop at least once a month, so I can see how these places change throughout the year.

One of these days, I hope to see more color around these parts ... something besides this beautiful shade of dormant, dead, and white.

What's the difference between a duck? One of it's legs is the same.

I came home that afternoon to fog... lots and lots of fog... we could barely see the house across the street.

And finally, the moon was SO beautiful the next morning, I couldn't help but grab my camera and attempt a photo. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out like I had hoped, but that's what happens when you are standing at the back door at 6:45 a.m. in somewhere around zero temperatures in your bathrobe, just having got out of the shower.

perfect shots again as usual.
Breathtaking! The first two are my absolute favorites, but they're all fabulous! You've captured winter in all its beauty for sure. :)
I LOVED the pictures of the dry bed!! Were they down LaBelle drive?
Beautiful pictures! And you have no idea how badly I miss bambino's... *sigh* :)
