I'm a day behind on my weekly
photowalk, but I had a good reason. Really. I uploaded all the pictures I had on my camera from last week, and found approximately one... of my daughters new haircut. That doesn't count. It was a cold week. Every time I even thought about stepping outside for a walk, old man winter reminded me it was below zero outside. Not gonna do it.
So I waited until today.
I'm glad I did.
It was much nicer today.
Sadly, when you leave the house only to drive the 2 1/2 miles to work or church and back, there isn't much to take pictures of. And, how many pictures can one take of the same snowcovered trees? So I went for a walk and found some of my favorite photographic subjects, who I'm sure were feeling very neglected as I hadn't taken their picture in months. These pesky critters have won me three "I heart faces" nods!
So, what did I spy with my little eye when I got there? Yep. Somebody had a very messy lunch.

Clearly, "Three" (yes, that horse is named Three) is not so loved by his siblings as not one of them bothered to tell him to wipe his face for the big photoshoot. I'm sure he'd be so embarassed if he only knew. Don't worry, Three, it's our little secret. I'll not tell a soul.

My goal for next week? Get really adventurous and photowalk something NOT in my yard... how exciting will that be?
Where'd you go for a photowalk this week?

Great photowalk!! I love your subjects... I need to go take some horse pictures one of my weeks...
It seems like I mostly walk around my living room at about 11:30 pm.
These are fantastic shots Kris, I love the contrast with the white horse in the second shot.
Well done!
And I have to ask -- how do you know Sally Calkins Jex?
