August 28 - I am learning to play three of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard for a program we are doing at my church called "The Ten Virgins". I wasn't thrilled when I was first asked (they haven't heard me play, apparently), then I heard the music and the words that go along with this program and lets just say, OH MY GOSH! I'm squealing with joy to be part of this and ya'll should be jealous of me! Plus, it gives me an excuse to sit down and tinker at the piano every.single.day - and sadly, I usually need an excuse to sit down and tinker at the piano.

Photostory Friday - the end of August...
It's been challenging, but interesting to photograph every day in the month of August. Good thing I only did one month. I started my new job this week (as a speech therapy paraprofessional) and I haven't picked up my camera once since then. I barely find time to blog!

August 29 - My baby girl was about to turn nine. She wanted a panda bear cake to match her bestest and most precious friend in the whole wide world... Cody the Panda Webkinz. I'm pretty sure she loves that bear more than me. And she loves me a lot.
August 30 - we have a big party with both sets of grandparents and great grandparents at the inlaws house. Ishee refused to eat any birthday cake, reminds her too much of her precious Cody bear. She nearly cried when we served it to everyone else.
August 31 - for the actual birthday, we took her to a local fun park. She couldn't wait to play miniature golf. Until she rode the go-carts. Then she moped around the golf course and begged her dad to let her ride the go-carts again. She wants one of her very own next year. She might love go-carts almost as much as she loves Cody.

Looks like a fun party.
I love playing the piano...I need to steal my mom's so I can play more often! ;)
Are you sure our daughters weren't separated at birth...(uh 4 years apart)? Well they for sure were roomies in the pre existence then.
As a piano player, I have to tell you: I LOVE that first shot. Wonderful composition.
What are the three songs that you're playing?
You will play beautifully, having your bably be 9 isn't so bad and you should buy her a go cart.
She wouldn't eat her cake? awww....poor girl. you did a nice job on it, though.
happy PSF!
I do play piano, pretty ugly. I can not read musical score :(
Happy birthday to your daughter. my oldest is turning nine this august also.
love the smile on her face, aah the need for speed :) Here’s my photo story. happy Friday!
Happy Birthday! That smile on her face in the go-cart (or whatever) is pure joy! So dang cute!
