August 22 - Our youth went on a little five mile or so hike up to the mountains. I wish I wasn't so old and out of shape.
August 23 - It rained. It felt nice. Ishee ruined my purple umbrella when she tried to use it to fly with as she jumped on the trampoline.
August 24 - We took the kids for a bike ride around the lake. I'm too old and out of shape to go bike riding around the lake two days after a five mile hike in the mountains.
August 25 - The girls in our ward did a "fashion show" at the mall. It was supposed to be a challenge to find the cutest outfit for the least amount of money. Of course, my child found a cute outfit for just over $100. She was so proud.
August 26 - Went for a 16 mile drive to find my way to the school I will be working at one day a week. I happened to pass my old 7th grade school. I can't believe it's still standing and being used (for what, I do not know, however). It was old when I was in 7th grade, and I'm OLD!
August 27 - I've waited all summer to see what these mystery flowers that came up from seed are and they are finally blooming. My sister told me they were asters, and I am pretty sure she was right! I'm just glad to have some more color out there now that the perennials are about done blooming.

Beautiful pictures. And your mystery flower is really beautiful! But I'm not so sure on the aster thing. It's definitley a mum, but asters tend to be really flat when they bloom with large flat yellow centers. I could be wrong though!
