I stayed up half the night reading last night. My husband was out of town. I've had a lot on my mind. I couldn't sleep. So I read. Until way past midnight.
Then, I was wide awake at 5:30 a.m. I tried to go back to sleep, but just wasn't feeling it until, oh, right before the phone rang at 6:30 to tell me that my inlaws horses were out in the neighbors hay field. And you are calling me because??? *sigh* I'll take care of it.
So I called the inlaws, and loaded up my book and my blanket and sat out on the front porch and enjoyed a beautiful morning. (the dew in the grass was just amazingly beautiful this morning).
In addition to feeling tired, I'm also feeling generous today. My neighbor was looking for yard toys for her 18 month old son. I told her I had several my kids had outgrown I was more than willing to give her. The kids can hardly wait to load them up in the truck and take them over to her.
I'm not feeling as red as I was last week - my sunburn is now almost done peeling. My kids think peeling skin just looks and feels icky.
For awhile, I was feeling ducky.
The girls and I dumped the boy off at the golf course and went to lunch at the Olive Garden with my sisters.
But first we stopped along the river to feed the ducks the old bread that was taking up space on the counter. Felt good to get out and enjoy the fresh air!
Most of all - I'm feeling a ton better. It's been a stressful week around here. A dear sweet friend of mine suggested I drive by the LDS temple and just sit and ponder. I will admit, there wasn't much pondering going on while as I was too busy trying to keep Ish from falling in the river, but none the less, it is truly amazing how just being in the presence of such a sacred building can make one feel.
I'm also feeling blessed - to have such sweet little stink-pots to call my own.
Check out you capture, hosted by Beth at I should be folding laundry to see how others "feel" today.
