My best shot of the week definitely required a story to go with it FOR SURE! The first thing people say about our cat when they see her is "holy cow, that is a FAT cat." You have no idea. Lets just say she weights approximately half of what my almost nine year old weighs. Really.
My 12 year old daughter, a self proclaimed poet, has written two beautiful poems this week about our cat and I just had to share them, they were just that good! By the way, thanks to our cat eating dog, the cat isn't allowed to go outside without a leash, and despite the look on her face, she loves the trampoline. Good times, I tell ya!
I have a fat cat and she's not too slim
Cause she can't stop eating and her weight needs a trim
If she stepped on our scale, it would probably break
And if the cat popped, we'd have a calico lake.
To make her go on a diet, we really do try
We all know we love her, we just don't know why
With the hair that she shed, you could make a large wig
This is the story of our calico pig.
An ode to my cat
You are getting fat
Cause you eat all in sight
Except for a rat.
I think soon you might pop
Though it's so sad to say
That someone will clean up your pieces one day.
You beg and you beg can I please go outside
Cause you just can't escape, cause many times you tried
You puke on our floor
And you wait by the door
And when your done with your food
You always want more
I love you my fat, barfing, shedding cat
But please my dear cat, you are getting too fat!

hehehe great poems! She is quite a fat cat!
That's so funny! She reminds me of my old cat, Sasha. She was a black and white manx, so she had a stub for a tail and short legs and a very round belly. She was fat! Everyone in the neighborhood called her cow kitty. LOL!
very pretty cat
The buzz,
Brandy
The calico pig line made me laugh. Hee hee!
Your cat reminds me of my grandparents' cat. He was HUGE. When he was about 3 years old he got hit by a car and lived so they renamed him Flat (my whole family has an odd sense of humor). I think he lived another 12 years. :)
Haaa! Love the poem! Hilarious!
Wait, let me finish my thoughts there...love the poems and the photographs. Sorry...my brain is going too fast today. And slow at the same time. Does that make sense? I have a headache, but I'm also hyper. :-)
LOL, love the poems. Your cat is very cute.
