This trip to St. George did not include a trip to Tai Pan, or so we planned. But, turns out that Zion National Park is not that time consuming if you don't do all the hiking, so we needed something else to do, which meant, of coarse, a trip to Tai Pan. I certainly wasn't going to spend any money, though... and then I went in and it was all over with.
I found this cute little pot of orange gerber daisies. I am in love with the color orange these days, and even though it's technically a fall color, it just felt springy. Plus it was only about $6. I also got a pot of pink impatiens, which Ishee promptly packed off somewhere.

Then of coarse, I remembered the plate rack that we picked up at Deseret Book a few days before Christmas for only $2.99 (that came with three Christmas plates). I needed some new plates for it, and I just couldn't pass these up when I saw them. I don't know what they are made out of, it's not plastic, it's not glass, and it's not wood. They are so cute!

Then of coarse, there is my star obsession. I don't know that I would have picked up this candle holder since I'm not much of a candle holder person if it hadn't been displayed as a wreath holder. My husband can't stand to have wreaths hanging on the door (it's a glass door), and I haven't been able to hang my wreaths. I've been looking for a nice wreath holder to set there, and to find a star one, I was sold! Come warmer weather, I will probably stick it outside, but for now, it's inside and has a non-matching candle since it's the only one I had on hand.

I bid you farewell with my snowman... still refusing to give up. Everyone who comes comments on him and asks just how it is that he is still standing. One arm has fallen off, and the boy uses it as a target for icicles (you can see them sticking up at the base of him). I just don't know how he does it. I had posted the original picture from a few weeks ago on facebook - and then one of my more disgusting old high school friends pointed out that he thought it reminded him of a certain male body part, which totally ruined the snowman and what he stood for in my mind. Some friend he is!

And the plates go so perfectly with the color of your wall and everything. Great find. I do not know this Tai Pan that you speak of, but I guess I should.
CUTE CUTE stuff! I love all of it! Good finds, Krista!
Tai Pan was so close to where I lived all last year and I didn't go there once! I think I knew it would contain many great finds and I didn't want to move it all:) Now I need to have a road trip of my own to find similar must-have items.
My mind wasn't in the gutter like some of your other friends....but now it is.
I LOVE those plates!! Love them! And the holder is great too. All nice finds.
