My new favorite book! I haven't read a book this thick (over 600 pages) so quickly since the Twilight Series. It took me a few days to get past the first 100 pages or so. I wasn't too sure about it, it was complicated and a tad confusing and I found myself constantly putting it down and finding more interesting things to do. My niece assured me that it was worth it to keep reading, so I kept at it. So I did. Then I was sucked in and I couldn't put it down.
This was, to me, just as good, if not better than the Twilight Series, which I loved. She is such a fantastic story teller. What a wild imagination she has! Who would ever come up with this invasion of the body snatchers alien chick named Wanderer and make her not just likeable, but loveable. Then there's Jared, (I'm still *swooning* over his kisses) and Ian, *swoon* and of coarse, Melanie, Jared's long lost love whose body is hosting (unwillingly) the alien they nickname Wanda.
Confused? Yep... I'd explain it, but I think you'll just have to read it! It's like Invasion of the body snatchers (which I've never seen, so I guess that's a bad comparison. OH! Did you ever watch that short lived series called Invasion where the aliens came down and tried to take over the humans) meets Red Dawn (a group of survivors hiding in the wilderness from the bad guys) with a little Lost (totally far fetched and downright confusing) mixed together.
I made the mistake half way through of reading part of the last page (a bad habit of mine). It angered me! It wasn't what I wanted to happen. *whine* Turns out, the ending was fantastic and better than I could hope for ... and well duh, there's a reason you don't read the end first! Truly a GREAT story!!! I can't wait for the movie! Ha ha!
If any of you have read it, I'd love to hear what you thought of it.

You did it! I knew you'd like it! I agree. She is a wonderful story teller!
Just got it from my mom and CAN'T WAIT to read it... just can't find time quite yet. My sleeping hours at night are WAY too precious. But, someday I'll get there. (Gotta say I loved the Twilight series too!)
