So I have an organizational dilemma. I have girls. And along with girls comes hair accessories. You know, bows and barettes, and pony tail holders, and clippies, and headbands and curling irons and straightening irons and brushes and combs galore and... you get the picture. Even if they won't let me comb their hair, at least they have the opportunity to doll themselves up if the mood strikes them. Usually it only strikes when they are dressing up my hair, but hey, at least it's being put to good use.
So here in lies my dilemma. What does one do with all these hair doodles? I have one drawer committed to such storage, but it isn't working. I have a basket under the sink also committed to such storage, but it isn't working either. Neither is the shoe box on the floor. Or the rubbermaid tub on the counter. It's not that I have that many hair doodles. It's merely the fact that they just have no real place to call home.
I want to know what works for you? Surely there is someone out there who has this sort of thing all figured out. Isn't there? Because it is you whom I am talking to and begging for your creative ideas. Even if you haven't figured it out, I still need some ideas. I refuse to let my bathroom be overrun by hair doodles.

We have the EXACT same dilemna! Every time I get it all organized (separated into different compartments) they mix it all together again and spread it all over the bathroom!! Urgh!
A clear plastic over the door shoe holder works for me. A spot for everything.
Little organizer trays work great, unless you have a 3-yr-old tornado living with you, in which case they make great frisbees after the hair stuff has been dumped on the floor. Daily.
I like Kelly's idea, I might copy that!
i have a tool case (like what you use for your jewelry) mounted on the bathroom wall. the girls are pretty good about keeping it organized and it helps at least keep te hair stuff up! if you want a pic, let me know.
